Ask the Biologist The Shasta Mosquito and Vector Control District Biologist, John Albright, is happy to answer questions (if he knows the answer and time permits) on virtually biology topic. Though his current area of authority and expertise is mosquito biology, he has a B.S. degree in microbiology with a chemistry minor, did seasonal silviculture work for the U.S. Forest Service, and has had eleven years experience working for the Shasta County Department of Agriculture, Weights, and Measures. He is co-chair of the Shasta County West Nile Virus Task Force and secretary of the Shasta Beekeepers' Association.
