AGENDA

 

1.                  Call to Order and Roll Call

 

2.                  Recognition of District Operation supervisor for 30 years of continuous District service

 

3.                  Opportunity for public comment

Persons wishing to address the Board are requested to receive recognition from the President of the Board, give their name, address and the subject they wish to discuss.

 

 

4.                  Consider approval of:

a. The Minutes of the Regular Board of Trustees Meeting held April 17, 2008 .

b. The Minutes of the Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees held April 24, 2008

c. The Minutes of the Special Meeting of the Board of Trustees held May 6, 2008

 

5.         Approval of Accounts Payable         

a.            Transfer sufficient funds (the amount and the money) from Fund 00464 Account 061008 Vehicle Building Expansion to Fund 00462 Services and Supplies Account 032100 Agriculture/Pesticide to cover June payables (approximately $50,000)

b.            Approval of Accounts Payable

                

6.         Communications:

a.            Vector Control Joint Powers Authority – Member Contingency & Property Fund for the Quarter Ended March 31, 2008.

                       

7.         Report from Manager on District Activities.

 

8.         Report from the Manager on his attendance at the MVCAC Meeting, May, 1-2, 2008.

 

9.         Report from Manager on GASB 45 Actuarial Valuation of Other Post Employment Benefits

                        a.         Adopt Report on Valuation of Other Post Employment Benefits

                        b.         Consider authorizing pay-as-you-go or prefund Other Post Employment Benefits

                       

10.       Report from Manager on District Revenue and Expenditure Report at April 30, 2008

 

11.       Report from Manager on District Benefit Assessments; timeline, Engineer’s Report and intention to levy assessments etc. and direct hand-billing

 

12.       Report from the 2008 - 2009 Budget Committee.      

 

13.       Consider adopting Resolution 2008-01 reaffirming Board Members’, Manager’s and Administrative Assistant’s In-lieu expenses

 

14.       Consider authorizing the Manager to pay to have the District’s Access computer data program converted to an updated database program

 

15.       Consider Voting for Alternate Trustee Representative on the VCJPA Board of Directors

 

16.       Board/staff general discussion. Opportunity for Board members to ask questions for clarification, provide information to staff, request staff to report back on a matter, or to direct staff to place a matter on a subsequent agenda.

 

The Board will convene in Closed Session.

 

 

17.       Personnel Matter - Public Employee Evaluation of District Manager pursuant to Government Code section 54957(b).
