Board Members: Please arrive at the District 20 minutes early IF you would like your Board Photo taken for the District foyer.

 

1.         Call to Order and Roll Call

 

2.            Opportunity for public comment

Persons wishing to address the Board are requested to receive recognition from the President of the Board, give their name, address and the subject they wish to discuss.

 

3.            Presentation of Certificate of Appreciation to the District concerning the Arundo Project on Stillwater Creek from the office of Assemblyman of the Second District, Doug LaMalfa by Brenda Haynes, Field Representative for Assemblyman Doug LaMalfa. Dr. Randall Smith will be participating in the presentation.

 

4.            Consider approval of the Minutes of the Regular Board of Trustees Meeting held September 18, 2007.

 

5.            Approval of Accounts Payable

 

6.         Communications:

                        a.            Shasta County Pooled Investments – September 28, 2007

 

7.            Report on District Operations and Entomological Report for the month of                          September 2007.

 

8.            Report from the Manager on the District’s Revenue and Expenditure Report at September 30, 2007.

 

9.            Report from Manager on West Nile Virus Control in the Shasta District in 2007.

 

10.            Report from the Manager on consideration of options concerning District bill payments.

 

11.            Results of vehicle bids on a 2002 and a 1998 surplus Ford Ranger being sold by placing ads in the newspaper requesting bids.

 

12.            Consider Shasta County LAFCO election ballot for two Regular Special District Commissioners and one Alternate Special District Commissioner

                        a.            Letter from Brenda Haynes – September 22, 2007

 

13.            Consider authorization to call for bids (limited bid list) on a Board approved Fixed Asset expenditure to expand the Vehicle Building.

 

14.            Board/staff general discussion. Opportunity for Board members to ask questions for clarification, provide information to staff, request staff to report back on a matter, or to direct staff to place a matter on a subsequent agenda.

 

15.            Adjournment
